Natalie PortmanNatalie's first real movie Léon was awesome, but unfortunately the only one
she starred in before her teens. Even then, Léon definitely established
Natalie as one of the best known child actresses, probably largely due to
the subject matter of the movie.
A little before Léon, she had performed in a short film Developing, which
was never officially released on VHS or DVD. The film can sometimes be
found in YouTube or other similar places however.
Developing For the next two years, when she was about thirteen to fifteen, she starred
in five movies, all remarkably good ones for a fresh actress. Relevant to
this site are mostly the first two of those. Her role in Heat is only a few minutes, and the clip below
covers about half her lines, but for fans the movie might be worth checking
out nonetheless.
Heat Of Beautiful
girls we have a mini review, and Natalie's role is larger, about ten
minutes, and has a lot of dialogue.
As an early teenager she had a small role in Woody Allen's romantic comedy
musical Everyone Says I Love You. Her
probably longest scene is below.
Everyone Says I Love You At the age of seventeen she became a serious celebrity when earning the
role as Queen Padmé in Star Wars: Episode I
– The Phantom Menace – but that you knew already.
